Excerpt from “An Affair of the Heart” a memoir by Ngeton

"This book is a brief account of my search for happiness, love, and enlightenment. I avoided nothing. I left no rock unturned. In my ignorance I thought relationships, sex, drugs, alcohol, and religion would fulfill what I was looking for. I played my part with great passion, and pursued each rainbow to its end. Gradually I came to realize the inherent suffering in all experience, because all experience is objective and at best temporary. Life is always changing, passing – impermanent. My seeking then turned from objective experience to wanting to know the truth of my being – Who am I? What is my True Nature?

I was relentless in my search.

By the Grace of God and the Wisdom of my Gurus, I awakened from the dream of life to the Truth of my Nature – Love, Bliss, Happiness it self!”
“May this brief account of my ignorance and subsequent awakening help to serve the Truth in All.” - Ngeton

I am eternally grateful to all my Gurus and teachers for their Grace, Wisdom, and teachings: Jean Dunn, Ruchira Avatar Adi Da Samraj (Da Free John), H.W.L. Poonjaji, His Holiness the 16th Karmapa, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, His Holiness Sakya Trizin, Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche, Dilgo Kyentse Rinpoche, Gyaltrul Rinpoche, Soygal Rinpoche, Kalu Rinpoche, Baba Muktananda, Master Y.C.
